 Alumni are invited to the Cornell Club, New York, to hear Associate Professor Carole Comerton-Forde of the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Economics and Business address the issue of “Competition and challenges in US equities markets”.
US equities markets have undergone significant change in recent years. In addition to the challenges caused by the financial crisis, the incumbent exchanges have experienced intense competition from new entrants.
The jury is still out on whether or not the increased competition has been beneficial for the markets. Carole will discuss the changes in the market, their impact and the likely future directions.
